A really good read: *bespoke* zine

One of the great things about becoming involved in a local art & craft community and about writing this here blog is when you get the chance to discover awesome things. And, can I just say ... people are doing awesome hand made, hand crafted things right around the country.

I got an email from the Associate Editor of *bespoke* zine, asking if I would like to do a write-up and give my readers a heads-up about this great little publication. Since becoming involved with the Made With Love Market Bazaar in my home town, I have become much more passionate about local art & craft and supporting these local artists whenever possible.

Anyhoo, after checking out *bespoke* I can easily, comfortably recommend this read to you. It's a great little buy at $10 and is written by and for the Australian handmade community. You can check out the details via their website (as well as order yourself a copy of Issue #6). Issues are published quarterly.

In *bespoke* you'll find tutorials and recipes, stories and features on art and craft, photography and vintage. There are interviews and profiles as well.

They are also looking for submissions, click here to find out more. I can think of more than a few of my crafty friends online and in real life who should definitely look into that!

So if you're looking for a little something to read over a nice cuppa, check it out, fully smug in the knowledge that while you're relaxing and reading, you're supporting local art and craft - win win! :)

The people behind the scenes:
Jessica Van Den (Editor).
Megan Eckman (Associate Editor).
Mikaela Danvers (Graphic Design).
Amie McCracken (Proofreading).

    1. It's definitely that kind of publication, isn't it? :) In fact, when she emailed me about it, Megan suggested sitting down with a cuppa to read - and I think that's probably the best way to do it! :)
