REMNANTS OF YESTERDAYS SPRING CLEAN IN THE GARDEN WITH MUM AND DAD // SITE SUPERVISOR
Yesterday was a beautifully warm and sunny spring Saturday and I spent it in my garden, with mum and dad. We pruned the out of control hydrangea bush and did the same for some massive man ferns. Dad mowed the lawns and got the whipper-snipper out as well. There was some weeding and mum gave me lots of ideas for what I can do out there.
There is a fuchsia shrub behind the garage that is just starting to flower - I can't wait to see it in full bloom. And I'm going to work on coaxing the jasmine to grow over the iron archway thingie that was in the backyard when I moved in.
Tomorrow is Recreation Day holiday and my word it has come at just the right time. I'm gearing up to get ready to submit final results for the students soon - a bucket load of marking needs to be done beforehand (as is always the case - can't be escaped, believe me I've tried) but as soon as that's all done I should be able to start winding down a little as the school year draws to a close. Now that is definitely something to look forward to.
I absolutely have to say thank you so much to the kind comments after last week's post - you are a lovely lovely community to be a part of and your support is so much appreciated xx
